Equus & Jack's Lounge Restaurant Review: Equus & Jack's Lounge is a place for grown-ups to kick back, relax in the depths of leather sofas and chairs, and enjoy one another’s conversation. Start with one of master mixologist Joy Perrine’s bourbon cocktails --- we recommend The Ginger Snap (Woodford Reserve bourbon, ginger syrup, a squeeze of lemon). The menu is also designed for casual dining, from bar bites such as fried calamari to a satisfyingly beef filet. Signature dishes include the creamy, spicy mushroom fumé, nachos, bourbon-laced shrimp Jenkins, and fried chicken with mashed potatoes and kale. Check out the fish tacos in the summer and the pot roast during the cold months. There’s a short but first-rate wine list that won’t empty your wallet, as well as a good selection of draft craft beers. |
