Escorpion Tequila Bar & Cantina Restaurant Review: Escorpion’s dishes are drawn from the simple, easy-to-enjoy regional street fare of Mexico, from ceviche to quesadillas and tacos. Elotes callejeros is grilled corn slathered with grated cotija cheese and rolled in mayonnaise, then sprinkled with lime and chile. Follow it with a couple of tacos, perhaps with carnitas or fried fish and caramelized onions. Mixologists can create plenty of agave-based potions to suit every fancy, and Mexican beers also are available. The simply presented flan is the dessert of choice, although there is a tres leches cake and churros, too. The place is rather lively and appeals to those on dates as well as gals and guys out on the town. |
