About the restaurant: Chef Christophe Bellanca (L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Le Cirque, L'Orangerie) presents Essential by Christophe on the Upper West Side. The space was designed by Bellanca in collaboration with Parisian residential designer Caroline Egasse, and includes exposed wooden beams, Élitis wallpaper and porcelain tile.
Food & Drinks: The restaurant features French fine dining, with à la carte dishes such as foie gras with apple-cranberry and Pineau des Charentes; grilled sole with green curry buckwheat, asparagus and grain mustard-yuzu dressing; and saddle of venison with périgourdine sauce. A more casual menu is served in the bar.
