| New Orleans-themed restaurants have met with a lukewarm reception in this part of the country but Crescent City Beignets aims to change all that. Part of its method is to offer quick, casual dining instead of pricey, semi-formal service set to live jazz music. Breeze in and grab a beignet (a sugary pastry similar to a doughnut) and a cup of chicory coffee at breakfast or perhaps a bowl of gumbo or crawfish etouffée in the afternoon, and depart with your stomach satisfied and your wallet hardly lightened. Not a bad concept at all especially given the shopping mall location. |
