THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Estrella Restaurant Review

: A sister restaurant to nearby Robert’s, Estrella presents fresh interpretations of both familiar and more adventurous “Latin Riviera” dishes. While tamer palates can tuck into fish tacos, a grilled rib-eye with chimichurri or a chile relleno, it’s worth venturing into some of the menu’s bolder tastes such as cactus and mushroom soup, mussels steamed in smoky chorizo cream sauce, or the fragrant Jamaican seafood curry. Be sure to save room for desserts like the chocolate Kahlúa torte, Mexican bread pudding, or the churros served with a spicy chocolate sauce. The wine list has several local labels, but also appropriately offers well-chosen selections from Spain, Argentina and Chile. Bottled beers include the familiar choices from Mexico, but also those from Spain, Costa Rica, Jamaica and even Brazil. There’s a festive courtyard ambience in the dining room, with outdoor sidewalk seating facing the downtown park.
