David Lum was way ahead of his time, and even he didn’t know it. His now-closed Rikshaw Inn served a fusion menu 20 years ago. He then came out of retirement to create a place that truly takes an East-meets-West approach; his creative menu marries American classics with Asian influences, from Chilean sea bass with Thai curry sauce to Indonesian spiced lamb. You’ll also find traditional Chinese dishes like Szechuan chicken and mu shu duck, as well as straight-up steaks and grilled lake fish. There's a charge for plate sharing, but it's a great way to get a variety of tastes. A full bar and extensive wine list with over 300 labels accompanies the menu. The setting is sleek and modern with dark walls and ceilings and wood floors. Catering and take-out are available, too.
