| Euzkadi, part of the continuing East Village revival, is the name of the Basque language and the food and friendly service will leave you longing for a getaway to northern Spain. The affordable menu is highlighted by a variety of Basque cheeses, Spanish and French wines, and classic specialties such as bacalao, traditional croquettes, and roasted salmon wrapped in asparagus and served with saffron rice and grilled veggies. Desserts are all homemade. The décor is simple but warm and cozy, with exposed brick and mirrors allowing enough light and shadows from an array of candles around the dining room. Even the bar is good for a quick cocktail or a complete dinner. |
