THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Extra Fancy Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Extra Fancy feels like a Williamsburg take on a crab shack, with Edison bulbs, neon signs, a packed bar and buzzy vibe. Food is served until 2 a.m., so it’s a perfect place for some late-night eating and drinking. If the weather cooperates, you can sip a fancy cocktail in the spacious yard.

Likes: Outdoor space; craft beers; creative cocktails; lobster fries; Fried Chicken Bacon 'Bama.
Dislikes: None.

Food & Drinks: This is one of those restaurants where you’re going to have to face some challenging decisions, as in choosing between the New England clam chowder fries and lobster fries. Either way, the potatoes stay super crispy beneath the bacon and creamy “chowda” or the luscious lobster and shrimp gravy, respectively. A raw bar features spicy peel-and-eat shrimp, littleneck clams, and oysters from both coasts, which are ideal for pairing with craft beers, ciders, wines by the glass, and cocktails like the “Honey, I Spiced the Kids,” a concoction of Banhez mezcal, fresh grapefruit and jalapeño. Although seafood is the star of the show, there are non-sea options on offer, such as a crunchy Caesar with herbed croutons and the Fried Chicken Bacon 'Bama, a satisfying sandwich of crispy fried chicken, melty cheddar, tomato and white bbq sauce. But we also recommend the lobster ravioli, with asparagus and plenty of sweet lobster meat. Whatever you decide, don’t leave without a fudge brownie à la mode with a mountain of whipped cream on top.
