F15teen Restaurant Review

: This is not your average, celebrity-backed sports-bar-slash-steakhouse. Tucked into an old automobile dealership and named for the uniform number of former St. Louis Cardinal Jim Edmonds---a part-owner---F15teen is a serious dining room with a bar, windowed kitchen and large lounge down the hall---and that's just the first floor. Private dining rooms and a nightclub are above. This is where you see city types, from the young and fashionable to courthouse regulars, knock back cocktails or respectable wine and explore a rather atypical steakhouse menu---at least for St. Louis. You’ll find items like tomato-herb bisque with grilled cheese, a beef stroganoff sandwich and pesto-crusted salmon. You also can explore the unusual with first courses, like corn-filled tortellini. Then, veer back on track with topnotch steaks accompanied by interesting sauce options. Desserts include ice cream sandwiches and a delightful mocha shake made crunchy with Cocoa Puffs. The 6,000-square-foot patio is outfitted with two fireplaces, a boon during cool weather.

Disappointing
by clmoore9 on Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:23 am

On Saturday, August first, my guy planned a surprise dinner for my birthday with about 18-20 guests. I arrived around 9pm and we ordered around 9:15. We did not receive bread and butter until about 10, and our appetizers didn't come out until 10:30. Around 10:45 the waiter came over and told us that they were out of the wings we had ordered. One guest got her food about twenty minutes after everyone because they forgotten to make her dish, and my guy never received his salad. The grilled shrimp was overcooked and the pomegranate martini tasted like cough syrup.
