| Elegant surroundings and street-friendly patio dining grace the casual eat-in/to-go operation of this contemporary high-rise residential building. Dishes such as brown-sugar roasted pork loin with mashed sweet potatoes and apricot chutney are worthy of far more upscale eateries, but in this circumstance cost only $8.95 for what the proprietors call a "3/4 Plate." Despite the title, it's plenty of food. Soups, salads and other add-ons should keep the building's denizens from ever having to turn on the stoves in their fancy digs. Office workers from nearby businesses and law firms descend on the place for lunch. Dine in at comfortable, lovely tables, and you may have a glass of wine with your "3/4 Plate." |
