Lively, cozy, colorful and crowded, the Irish pub Fadó also serves good food, complemented by bands Wednesday to Saturday evenings and TVs for soccer watching. From the all-day Irish breakfast---eggs, rashers (Irish bacon), black and white pudding (Irish sausage), baked beans, tomatoes and brown bread---to the harvest bread pudding (brown bread, custard, apples, cinnamon and walnuts, accompanied by vanilla ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce), the extensive menu accommodates every taste. For starters, we like the Dublin sampler platter---cheese dip and wedges, crispy chicken tenders and spicy chicken boxty. Traditional fare features fish ‘n’ chips, chicken potpie, meatloaf with tomato gravy, shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and Colcannon mashed potatoes---plus a hint of contemporary fusion in chipotle-crusted cod. Sandwich aficionados like the RLT---rashers, lettuce, tomato and onion on a baguette. The children’s menu offers fish ‘n’ chips, a grilled cheese sandwich and Parmesan pasta. Guests under 21 are welcome until 9 p.m.
