Fadó looks like it stepped right off the last flight from Dublin. Its bits and pieces were fashioned there and assembled here. The rooftop patio boasts a heated floor, just in case Atlanta's weather gets too brisk for the festivities at hand. Irish dishes vie with American standards such as burgers, and there are some unusual cross-bred items on the menu. Boxty, for instance, is a potato-based pancake filled with some sort of meat and vegetable savory, such as corned beef and cabbage or steak and mushrooms. Here, boxty also substitutes for tortillas in a so-called "quesadilla." Boxty also appears on the brunch menu, filled with hollandaise-topped scrambled eggs. Irish breakfast, complete with black and white pudding, mushrooms, sautéed tomatoes and potato bread, is an all-day-long offering. Have the black-and-tan brownie if for no other reason than to get a hold of the Guinness ice cream, although we also like the brown bread ice cream topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce. The beer list, besides Guinness, has a number of Irish quaffs, but on the whole isn't especially challenging.
