THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Farm on Adderley Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: This is in many ways the ideal neighborhood restaurant: inviting, unpretentious, and a sure bet for quality, seasonal American bistro food in Ditmas Park. On nice days sit on the patio; otherwise, the long bar is a great place for a drink and an English muffin burger.

Likes: Pretty patio; house-made ricotta; burger.
Dislikes: Gets very busy, especially during weekend brunch.

Food & Drinks: The Farm on Adderley may not be an actual farm, but its farm-driven menu features the freshest ingredients of the season. In springtime, start with grilled spring onion soup, scented with oregano and topped with morels and fresh cream. House-made ricotta is fluffy and satisfying, served with rhubarb tarragon compote, pickled ramps and sourdough toast. Soft-shell crabs are tempura-fried and soft under their crispy exterior. Rainbow trout with glazed turnips and pickled radicchio is among the mains. A pasture-raised-beef burger on a toasted English muffin is outshined only by the hand-cut fries piled beside it. For dessert, dig into a goat cheese soufflé cheesecake topped with gin caramel and watch it deflate into sweet goodness. The restaurant’s local and organic ethos extends to the beer and wine list as well, and there’s a thoughtful roster of seasonal and classic cocktails.
