The Farm of Beverly Hills Restaurant Review: The Farm of Beverly Hills makes its way downtown with a branch at the L.A. Live entertainment center, which is convenient for dining before or after events at the nearby Staples Center or Nokia Theatre. Special to this location is a menu of fruit-focused martinis --- grapefruit, acai and peach, to name a few. Start with a homey appetizer like soft baked pretzels with honey, or sweet corn chowder. Down-home classics like chicken potpie, barbecued beef short ribs, and a 20-ounce cowboy steak for two set the tone for entrées, although sesame-crusted salmon with three sauces (wasabi, miso-honey-mustard and orange-hoisin) is among a few Cal-Asian dishes. Hearty old-fashioned breakfasts range from biscuits and gravy to peanut butter-stuffed french toast to frittatas. For dessert, try the apple pie or blackberry cobbler. A selection of local wines, many from Santa Barbara, is available.
