Farmacy Restaurant Review

: Farmacy is a whimsically designed coffee shop serving up breakfast in the Padre Hotel, a restored historic property of the caliber that you may not expect to find in Bakersfield. The ceiling features murals with cows, goats and horses appearing to gaze down at diners. Morning menu items include hearty country dishes like chicken fried steak and eggs, huevos rancheros, and cheddar biscuits bathed in sausage gravy. The eatery also claims the highest octane coffee in town. Although breakfast is showcased, Farmacy serves lunch items from the hotel’s Brimstone Bar menu, including ahi salad with wasabi-soy dressing, a deli-style pastrami sandwich, a Maine lobster roll, and a bison burger slathered with cumin mayo.
