Located in the old Celadon space, which was cannily redesigned by Spacecraft's Kristopher Keith, this airy dining room sets the scene for solid American and French bistro classics. Chef de cuisine Diego Bernal formerly worked at Gordon Ramsay at The London West Hollywood, and he brings some solid technique that echoes happily in his dishes. Try the steamed mussels in white wine and mustard; the cured salmon --- a huge hunk of satiny fish with crème fraîche --- is quite striking. We also like the delicate Channel Island sea bass, while a robust steak frites is a bit chewy but flavorful. Other traditional French standards punctuate the menu, from French onion soup to coq au vin. The cocktail list has some fun frolics (our pick is the "blackberry fox," with Scotch, fresh blackberries, mint and citrus), and a select wine list contains suitable choices that are reasonably priced.
