Favazza's Restaurant Review: The Favazza family’s landmark restaurant offers the classic Italian entrées one would expect --- homemade lasagna, chicken Parmigiana and veal piccata --- plus a satisfying bean and pasta soup, crab-stuffed mushrooms and breaded, deep-fried artichoke hearts. Be prepared for an almost-addictive garlic bread that arrives before the meal (and, if you’re not careful, could become the meal). The second-most-addictive dish might be the house-made chocolate-amaretto pie. There are no surprises on the wine list, which is part of the establishment’s old-fashioned charm. Service is usually friendly enough, but when the 300 seats start filling up on weekend nights, it can be impersonal. The covered outdoor patio features an unusual, warming, two-tiered fireplace.
