THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Feast Bistro Restaurant Review:

Chef Susan Coulter worked at several Ojai restaurants before opening her own. Her intention was to fill the gap between fine dining and the town’s myriad simple eateries. Indeed, prices at Feast Bistro are lower than what you’d find at places with a comparable menu. Portions, however, are small, and the restaurant lacks the refinement of a fine dining establishment. Service tends to be awkward, if not utterly subpar. The food and a pleasant back patio overlooking Arcade Plaza are the restaurant’s redeeming qualities. Local ingredients are well used in dishes like pan-seared duck breast finished with an Ojai orange confit. Menu items change regularly and may include a Greek salad, Jamaican jerk chicken and chicken curry. Which makes one question the “New American” billing. Cookies of the day are a constant on the dessert menu; and if it’s available, don’t miss the citrus and Ojai Olive Oil cake, a truly local treat.
