The
winners of the 2005 Gourmand Media Awards, now
in their eleventh year, were announced May 20,
2006, in Kuala Lumpur. The awards honor the best
international food and wine books in diverse categories.
The U.S. collected the most awards with twelve
wins, France came in second with nine and China
finished a strong third with seven. Alain Ducasse,
pictured, received top honors for his publishing
