In 1998, Ralph Tingle of Bistro Ralph opened his second restaurant across the plaza from his first, and it’s a total departure from the bistro’s chic Sonoma cuisine. The order of the day here is hearty Italian fare, from veal scaloppine to wood-fired pizza to fish and baby back ribs, plus a sumptuous lasagne that defies its pallid description as vegetarian. The daily-changing pizzas, cooked in full view in a wood-fired oven, are creative and inspired. Felix & Louie’s is now open for brunch, featuring classics like huevos rancheros and eggs Benedict as well as delicious frittatas, one with crab and asparagus, another with mushrooms and pancetta.
