THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fellini's Ristorante Italiano Restaurant Review:
Roman columns at this gorgeous restaurant surround the domed entrance with its simulated-sky ceiling. Inside, the walls are covered with colorful murals of Tuscan vineyards and a replication of an Italian villa, complete with balconies leading to the bar, lounge and wine cellar. In keeping with the al fresco ambience, a tiled cobblestone street takes guests to a series of cozy rooms decorated to evoke cities such as Venice, Rome and Calabria. Among popular appetizers are the garlic cheese bread and the chilled tiger prawns on a bed of baby field greens served with a spicy cocktail sauce. We like the filet mignon carpaccio drizzled with lemon, Dijon mustard, olive oil, capers and shredded Parmesan cheese, served with garlic toast. There's a variety of imaginative salads and pizzas. Among savory pastas is the penne tossed in a three-cheese sauce with lobster meat, asparagus and lemon zest. A good entrée is the chicken Milanese with grilled eggplant and a lemon caper sauce. Go for the scaloppine of veal Marsala sautéed with forest mushrooms in olive oil, wine, demi-glaze and butter. The tiramisu is sublime.
