One of the great things about eating out in San Francisco is the range of ethnic food. At any given time you probably can find a half dozen Peruvian restaurants-they seem to come and go-but Fina Estampa remains one of the best. The menu comprises the entire food palette of Peru, with wonderful seafood soups from the Pacific and a whole fried fish with hot green salsa. From the mountains come a number of potato varieties, beef heart, and beef and chicken dishes, all perfectly cooked. Also located at 1100 Van Ness Ave., San Francisco, 415-440-6343.
