This gleaming magnet for the young and the restless of all ages is a romantic cross between a 30s roadside diner and a 40s big-city bar and grill. Created by Cindy Pawlcyn of the Real Restaurants group and designed by the well-known restaurant designer Pat Kuleto, Fog City was packed when it opened, and it is still popular. Order from the small plates menu that includes a delicious crispy calamari with fennel slaw and lemon aioli, or vegetarian quesadilla. Large plates always include a smoky rib dish, a roast half chicken, delicious pork loin or the house meatloaf flavored with wild mushrooms. Over-the-top desserts are superb. A recently added breakfast menu includes house-made almond and coconut granola, and mascarpone-brioche French toast as well as an amazing pulled pork Benedict that substitutes buttermilk biscuits for English muffins and injects the hollandaise with barbecue sauce. |
