Food Wine & Co. Restaurant Review: Chef Michael Harr, who made a big splash back in the day at the now-closed Butterfield 9, is back and he’s cooking with as much verve and skill as ever. Today, he commands the stoves at a distinctive Bethesda restaurant that features American regional cuisine with some added embellishments. Take his steamed mussels, for example, which come to the table emitting the fragrance of Thai curry and coconut milk. You may want a big bowl as the main course, or use them to launch the meal of hamburgers, roasted chicken or flat-iron steak. Don’t forget to check out the seasonal offerings, too, such as the smooth pumpkin soup. Food Wine & Co. offers a vast array of international and domestic brews and special wines, so you can find just the right beverage to accompany your meal. Don’t pass up dessert, which may include a rum cake or a white chocolate cheesecake.
