About the restaurant: Forbes Mill Steakhouse delivers the goods in terms of choice beef, designer cocktails and a thriving after-work singles scene. The plush dining room fronted by an attractive fireplace at its entrance boasts a classic, upscale steakhouse look.

Food & Drinks: The menu features selections of Kobe-style Wagyu beef, rich in flavor and velvety in texture. You can't go wrong with such choices as the eight-ounce filet mignon served with a Cognac-peppercorn sauce, or the dry-aged 14-ounce New York steak. Vegetarians can opt for salads, side-order vegetables or the artisanal cheese platter. Fine pasta and fish dishes are also available, as are chocolate-rich desserts. Forbes Mill has a second location in Los Gatos.
