A Reston favorite ever since its opening day, this mostly Cantonese restaurant offers a standard Chinese menu, plus something extra: daily dim sum. We love to stop here for the selection of nearly 70 varieties of dumplings, and appreciate that dim sum has seemingly gone mainstream. Well, it’s in the ’burbs in this conservatively decorated and pleasant shopping-mall Chinese restaurant, a distant relative of the Fortune restaurant in Falls Church. Don’t want dim sum? Plenty of diners enjoy the subdued Cantonese fare, especially the seafood: scallops, conch, squid, cuttlefish, abalone and sea cucumber. Of course, if you prefer things hot, the cook stirs up several Szechuan and Hunan specialties.
