 Francesca's on Taylor Restaurant Review: If loud and boisterous settings are your thing, you’ll feel right at home at Scott Harris’ handsome, busy trattoria in the Little Italy neighborhood. We find the salads at Francesca's particularly memorable (try the string bean, tomato and onion variety); that goes for the homemade pastas, too, such as the gnocchi in tomato-basil sauce. Other finds include porcini-laced risotto; roasted chicken with garlic, shallots and rosemary; penne with Italian sausage, wild mushrooms and peas; and roasted veal medallions in a light brandy sauce. It may be somewhat formulaic, but it’s a formula that works. Besides, the wine is affordable, and the setting is inviting. Gluten-free options are available here and at its many other Chicagoland locations.
