Frankie & Lolas Front Street Cafe Restaurant Review: This eclectic place won’t be for everyone, but beneath its funky appearance is a serious commitment to from-scratch fare crafted with classic technique. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, favorites include the fried green tomato Benedict, Nom Nom omelet with mushrooms and sausage, a hearty tri tip chili, a Reuben with house-made corned beef, smoked duck-flatbread and spot-on fettuccine carbonara. For dessert, indulge in a slice of “Make Yo’ Mama Cry” pecan pie. Bottled premium beer is available, and the compact wine list showcases local favorites. This little gem offers a great view of Morro Rock, but seating inside and out can be hard to come by at peak meal times, so plan accordingly. |
