| This gem of a strip mall restaurant is unexpectedly pretty, with an appealing menu and food that is reliably good and served with a generous hand. The raw bar is a seafood lover’s temptation with a chilled cocktail “for two or more” that could serve a crowd as a veritable aquarium full of clams on the half shell, shrimp cocktail, crab claws, jumbo lump crab meat, and oysters served with cocktail sauce and mustard. Notable among the steaks and chops is the bone-in rib-eye---served in a gargantuan 24-ounce portion---grilled and accompanied by roasted shallots and a dab of garlicky herb butter. The Dover sole oreganata is lush, made with delicate imported Dover sole grilled and topped with fragrant oregano breadcrumbs, shrimp and asparagus. The whole is finished with a buttery Chardonnay beurre blanc. This is a BYOB, which is a nice little savings. |
