Fusion doesn’t get its unfortunate name from combining Fujian and Antarctic cuisines---or any other unusual combination. This funky neighborhood joint is actually a used furniture store that also serves food from around the world. The result is a charming restaurant that caters to the brave and hip. The appetizers are fun and delicious, from chicken satay to a mezze platter that brings fresh vegetables to a spicy new dimension. Entrée options include Thai red curry mussels, jerk-spiced Jamaican pork tenderloin and a portobello burger, all offered at refreshingly affordable prices. Desserts are marvelous here, especially for chocoholics. The wine list is small and inexpensive; a few microbrews are also available. Fusion is a weird and wonderful place to dine. You’ll leave with a satisfied stomach and perhaps a new end table.
