THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Gaetano's Restaurant Review:
THIS RESTAURANT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED DUE TO RENOVATION Gaetano’s is as much a neighborhood tavern as a neighborhood eatery. Some locals belly-up to the bar for a quick glass of Italian vin rouge, a cup of the first-rate minestrone soup and a plate of spaghetti with red sauce, while others stop in for take-out on the way home from work. The pizzas are a specialty. Two favorites are the "old-fashioned," with tomatoes, garlic, Romano cheese and basil and the double-crust pizza stuffed with ricotta and topped with a kitchen sink of ingredients. The wine list is sparse, but the clever cocktail roster, a litany of vintage favorites, is arguably one of the best in the city.
