Galaxie Restaurant Restaurant Review: Galaxie experienced a makeover that transformed it from a neo-Asian diner to a restaurant with a darker, more urban-sophisticated look. Still, it isn't competing with places that draw the after-work party crowd; it's fine for families, a date night or even mixing it up with friends for game night at the bar --- swapping some sushi for the usual buffalo wings and burgers, perhaps. The menu offers dishes refreshingly different than the standard salt, MSG and fat-laden preparations that, while tasty, don't really tell you much about “real” Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Cambodian food. We recommend the Chinese entrées of lo mein and beef and broccoli, which are also reasonably priced, as well as the nime chow. Sushi or sashimi at lunch is an affordable option.
