| One of the area’s culinary landmarks, Gérard’s specializes in classic French cuisine. The competent kitchen skillfully turns out such well-prepared standards as escargots, liver pâté, duckling and bouillabaisse. Many menu selections are deftly finished tableside. Daily specials often feature seasonally available game and occasionally more unusual offerings. The restaurant is set in an old house and the dining room is correspondingly cozy. Unfortunately, the smallness that makes the room cozy also contributes to a high noise level. Service is hospitable and efficient. There is an extensive, though slightly pricey, list of premium wines. |
