Germano's Restaurant Restaurant Review: A restaurant that started off in a converted gas station in Springdale is now an upscale suburban favorite on a quaint main strip of old Montgomery. Chef-owner Domenico Germano will be glad to share his love of all things Italian. His lengthy wine list focuses on Italian and Californian wines, and Germano can recommend just the right pairing for each dish. We recommend the veal scallops, thinly sliced, lightly breaded, and topped with Parmigiano-Reggiano and Germano’s special tomato sauce. The gnocchi tossed in cream sauce with prosciutto and peas also is a winner. Of course, servers will suggest saving room for dessert, like the raspberry pie made by the owner's wife and served with a generous dollop of whipped cream, tiramisu or the chocolate espresso bomb. If you can't get enough, you can take some home. Germano's not only serves family-style carryout, but it also sells tomato sauce and extra virgin olive oil at groceries across Cincinnati. |
