Germano's Restaurant Restaurant Review: A restaurant that started off in a converted gas station in Springdale is now an upscale suburban favorite on a quaint main strip of old Montgomery. Needless to say, chef-owner Domenico Germano is glad to share his love of all things Italian. His lengthy wine list focuses on Italian and Californian labels, and Germano can recommend just the right pairing for each dish. We recommend the veal scallops, thinly sliced, lightly breaded, and topped with Parmigiano-Reggiano and Germano’s special tomato sauce. Gnocchi tossed in cream sauce with prosciutto and peas also is a winner. The menu comes with a sauce glossary for the uninitiated --- creamy Alfredo to buttery, spicy Cajun Diane. For dessert, the raspberry pie is made by the owner's wife and served with a generous dollop of whipped cream. Alternatively, there's tiramisu or the chocolate espresso bomb. And if you can't get enough food, you can take some home, as Germano's offers family-style carryout.
