Gina La Fornarina Restaurant Review:

Gina La Fornarina sits in the midst of the Upper East Side’s tony private school area. Predictably serving pizza, pasta and panini, the tiny pink and white spot tries hard to become a broader Italian restaurant with menu options including veal and chicken dishes and meal-size salads. Stick to the basics like the focaccia variations and ignore over-sauced items, as the restaurant’s efforts don’t always succeed. Wines by the glass are a nice addition, and where the food might fall short, the wines are affordable, if not exciting.
