Gira Polli Restaurant Review: Chickens perfumed with herbs and citrus turn on 18 spits over an almond-wood fire in the $50,000 imported Italian rotisserie. The result: chickens with golden, crispy skin and moist, tender meat. They’re served with garlicky sautéed chard and roasted potatoes kissed with chicken juices. The spit-roasted lamb is pretty good as well. Not everything else on the menu is up to the birds’ standard, though we’ve sampled some decent pastas and salads. |
