THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Best Girl Restaurant Review:
Chef Michael Cimarusti (Providence, Connie and Ted’s) is behind this “neighborhood bistro” in Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. The spotlight is on dishes from familiar territory, such as oysters, crudo and jumbo lump crab cakes, as well as more terrestrial fare of grilled Duroc pork chop, stuffed paccheri with bitter greens, and a porterhouse for two. Cimarusti’s wife Crisi Echiverri is in charge of desserts, and beverage director Mary Bartlett (Honeycut) pours wine, beer and swank cocktails. A midday and late-night menu includes avocado toast and a burger with ume mayo.
