When the owners named this café Global Village, they wanted to bring the world to Mountain View. The walls are covered with posters, murals and pictures of their travels, and the menu winds down the same road. Appetizers range from Moroccan lamb spring rolls to wok-seared ahi tuna, to a bruschetta made with sweet tomatoes, artichoke and capers. Entrées worth trying are the prime beef, including a tasty fusion-style filet mignon, grilled fish with a snappy salsa, and pasta in a rich cream-and-cheese sauce. The Café is also an after-hours destination, hosting a variety of DJ’s throughout the week and live music on Saturday nights.
