THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Golden Mushroom Restaurant Review:
Retired Master Chef Milos Cihelka built the Mushrooms reputation as one of the finest restaurants in the city, and still the food and wine list are excellent. Unfortunately, however, most young foodies have moved on to newer, hipper eateries and the Golden Mushroom now caters to a mostly older, well-heeled clientele. The dining room has been renovated to its former subdued elegance and booths are spacious, yet intimate. At lunch, younger professionals still crowd the lobby, but at dinner, reservations are easily secured. If youre looking for a relaxed and attentive dining experience, we suggest you settle in at this stalwart establishment and savor the legendary wild mushroom soup, a delicate pate or terrine and an innovative entrée such as bronzed Atlantic salmon on potato-white truffle vinaigrette, with sweet corn and mache salad and a horseradish and Asiago polenta. The food presentation and originality of the menu are beyond compare.
