Gordy's Burger House Restaurant Review: Gordy's Burger House is a family-run institution of sorts that has been serving steaks, sandwiches and, of course, burgers to locals for almost fifty years. Gordy Jr. takes over where Gordy Sr. left off, and although he has revamped the restaurant's décor while maintaining the casual atmosphere, he has done little to the prices, which still arguably mean the best deal in town. Try the barbecue Angus burger with its nine ounces of beef smothered in rich barbecue sauce; or go for the juicy mushroom and Swiss burger. Burgers with your choice of cheese, ranging from American to cheddar to mozzarella, and various toppings, allow diners to create the sandwich of their preference. All burgers are served on brioche with a side of homemade slaw or french fries. Another savory option is the 12-ounce New York strip steak. If beef and burgers aren’t your thing, consider the chicken skillet with melted cheese, and spicy Buffalo wings. A full bar offers beers by the bottle and several on tap.
