THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Grape Restaurant Review: Combining a wine bar and, at this location, a retail shop, The Grape is set up to allow a consumer to explore a variety of wines by taking advantage of the half-glass pours to create a flight. Menu changes have transformed the place from a haven for small plates to a more conventional restaurant, substituting a few flatbreads for the crisped pitas we used to like, although we never cared for the carpaccio drowned in reduced balsamic vinegar. Some small-plate dining is still possible here, with such dishes as the tasty pulled pork and fire-roasted corn topped with pepper jack cheese on a flatbread, plenty for two as an opener. Local producers contribute to this menu, such as in the Logan Turnpike Mill grits and the Springer Mountain chicken.
