The Grateful Palate Restaurant Review: The Grateful Palate is known mostly for its pricey products that captains prefer to stock in the galleys of their yachts. Unbeknownst to most, though, it also has a secret café society that comes in for a limited but well-prepared menu that includes such dishes as Niman Ranch beef tenderloin tartare with grain mustard; roasted blue foot chicken with summer vegetables and beetroot vinaigrette; a grilled Kobe beef burger with Brie and prosciutto served with rosemary oven fries; and seared muscovy female duck breast over arugula and smoked bacon salad. Enjoy a glass of whatever's open with your meal. Sit at the bar and watch the chef cook or at one of a handful of tables for full service. A gourmet deli also supplies such outlandishly good sandwiches as Serrano ham and goat cheese with marinated artichokes on ciabatta for take-out. Occasional wine dinners are also held on the premises. |
