There aren’t many al fresco dining options in Old Town, nor does this tourisy area have any other Chinese restaurants, soThe Great Wall fills two desireable slots. Most of the seating is an outdoor area sheltered by a broad roof; unless the weather is really behaving badly, there’s no reason to bother with the tiny indoor room. The food is nothing to write home about, but such colorfully named dishes as the vegetable-rich Buddha Jump Over the Wall and Chinese Queen’s chicken, made with red wine, are satisfying. We are also pleased by such simple dishes as beef with black mushrooms and the plump dumplings.
