Green Ginger Restaurant Review: Green Ginger was originally established in Peachtree City, and the menu at its Decatur location differs somewhat from that of the flagship. Offering ably done sushi and sashimi as well as chirashi don (fresh fish on rice in a bowl), the kitchen also deftly handles Thai and Japanese dishes. We prefer the Thai selections, especially the slightly spicy red curry salmon (Pacific), grilled and topped with straw mushrooms and fresh basil and served on steamed rice (brown available). Good and inexpensive, the "build your own" noodle bowl begins with your choice of a broth, a noodle, up to three vegetables and, for an upcharge, a protein. Or for the smallest upcharge, you could add more vegetables. Try the red curry with coconut milk and udon noodles; toss in some fresh snow peas, green peas and eggplant and you have enough to take home for another healthful meal. Lunch specials enter the line-up midday, but the dinner menu always is available. For dessert, sticky rice and mango is our choice, although crème brûlée is made in-house. Enjoy a saké, beer or hot green tea with your food.
