Tucked away in a rather untrendy section of Scottsdale, this restaurant may be the city’s best kept secret. Chef Gregory Casale dreams up an international blend of flavors in the kitchen while his wife, Kim, works to make guests feel welcome in the dining room. Starters may include such surprises as fois gras on a sweet potato cake with a rhubarb compote or a steamed mussel vindaloo. For the main event, Casale offers beer-marinated Kobe beef, pepper-crusted mahi mahi over crawfish spoonbread and grilled sea bass with Chinese long beans. He wraps up his international tour with pistachio baklava, Spanish crema Catalana and good old apple pie with a generous scoop of walnut ice cream.
