THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Grille 29 Restaurant Review: The location of Grille 29 is curious, and finding this venue may require asking for directions. Once there, though, the view alone is worth the effort. Situated in the southeast corner of the expansive Channelside Drive development, this spot has a serene view of the water and passing boat traffic. Appetizers, like the lobster quesadillas or sesame tuna, reflect a trendy aesthetic, but are worthwhile. Steaks are the way to go, with solid prime rib, rib-eye and filet mignon with all the fixings (rich creamed spinach, lush béarnaise, lobster mashed potatoes). If your tastes run a little lighter, head for the portobello-and-polenta napoleon, a grilled portobello mushroom stacked with roasted peppers, zucchini, squash and polenta. Another creative entrée is the salmon brûlée. Here, broiled salmon is crusted with a brown sugar glaze and served with a sweet potato hash. Be sure to check out the dessert buffet---an array of rich choices. Then again, ordering dessert à la carte allows for the molten-centered chocolate soufflé.
