The Grove Grill Restaurant Review: The Grove Grill’s ambience is considerably laidback, so you’ll find plenty of families enjoying dinner in the evening hours. But the white tablecloth service makes it fine for sealing a business deal over lunch or after-hours cocktails. Chef Jeffrey Dunham’s reliable menu ranges from upscale Southern cuisine, such as low country shrimp and grits or fried green tomatoes, to Asian fusion (read: bacon-wrapped mahi mahi and seared ahi). Of course, there is the beloved Grove Burger, a wood-grilled number with the usual toppings. Vegetable sides are seasonal and often made with locally sourced produce. With flavors ranging from Key lime to pecan to buttermilk, the mini Mason Jar pies are among the most popular desserts. While the wine list isn't especially exciting, many selections are available by the glass and there’s a nice array of dessert wines. |
