THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Grove Restaurant Review

: Owner/chef Fred DeAngelo’s The Grove is a family affair, a partnership with his wife, Cheryl, her sister Brandy and husband Troy Antonelis. As a nod to Hawaii's melting pot of cultures, the menu reflects the heritage of each, which ranges from Italian and Hawaiian to Greek and Spanish. DeAngelo, of Ola at the Turtle Bay Resort, offers fresh ahi poke alongside an artisan cheese plate; adobo-braised pork ribs with mango chutney; kiawe-grilled lamb chops and the signature Brussels sprout salad; and togarashi glazed king salmon. Many of the dishes sound better than they taste; however, this spot gets extra points for being especially kid-friendly, providing a nutritious keiki menu and diversions for the smallest diners. Desserts are well-balanced and not too sweet --- we like the crème brûlée to share.
