Gunther Toody's Diner Restaurant Review: Looking for a culinary blast from the blast, Daddy-O? Stroll in to these fifties-themed eateries and revel in all things retro. From bowling-shirted waiters and poodle-skirted waitresses to Elvis and Jerry Lee on the jukebox, Toody’s offers the full-fledged American Graffiti night out. In addition to these bygone touches, the place also serves three squares a day, starting with the Big Bopper Breakfast, a $2.99 rise-and-shine deal that’s a hit with the business crowd. Lunch and dinner draw families and the younger set who eat up burgers and fries, patty melts, pot roast and other diner stuff. No, it’s not the finest food in town, but it’s cheap and comes with oodles of shtick on the side. Finish the meal with a hand-dipped malt, served with the tin for extra value.
