THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hamlet Restaurant Restaurant Review:

A vestige of the successful ’60s chain formerly known as Hamburger Hamlet, this eatery is still chugging along following many tweaks in its décor and menu. This, the original location, was founded by minor supporting actor Harry Lewis and wife Marilyn in 1950 and instantly became a “coffee shop for the stars.” It still has a loyal following, with its older customers now bringing their kids and grandkids for big and juicy burgers, eternally satisfying lobster bisque and items like meatloaf, potpies and fajitas that are respectable, if not inspired.
